DMC Construction Plc is a first class General Contractor (GC-1) chartered in Ethiopia to provide services in civil work projects, mainly road construction and maintenance, building construction and maintenance, water works, airfield construction, water works construction, etc. Currently, we have an exciting opportunity for the role of Warehouse Manager and we are looking for passionate, capable, and competent candidates who are prepared to work with passion and focus.
The Warehouse Manager will be responsible to lead, develop, advise on and support the implementation of the Warehouse strategy and support the implementation of business plans to deliver the strategic priorities of long term growth opportunities, leveraging scale and building fundamental process, system and people capabilities. Lead the implementation of warehouse processes and design as well as implement process improvements to achieve optimal warehouse logistical effectiveness and productivity. Project manage process improvement implementation and provide support to warehouse operations to ensure standardization and operational effectiveness.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop an effective Warehouse strategy and business plan based on diagnosis, analysis, insight, expertise and warehouse principles.
- Plan and manage the overall warehouse budget and allocation of funds according to plan.
- Management of warehouse planning process and liaison with Logistics Managers for each logistics channel.
- Improve work flow through excellence in receiving, Identifying, dispatching and assuring quality of goods.
- Develop plans to optimize the operation by aligning resources to activity levels and meeting customer service needs to improve the overall warehouse performance.
- Measure and report the effectiveness of warehousing activities and employees performance.
- Ensure the continuous modelling of operational performance to meet optimal customer service and cost objectives.
- Organize and maintain inventory and storage area.
- Ensure shipments’ and inventory transactions’ accuracy.
- Communicate job expectations and coach employees.
- Determine staffing levels and assign workload.
- Interface with customers to answer questions or solve problems.
- Maintain items record, document necessary information and utilize reports to project warehouse status.
- Identify areas of improvement and establish innovative or adjust existing work procedures and practices.
- BA degree in logistics, supply chain management, management or business administration.
- Minimum Six years’ experience with at least three years in a managerial or supervisory role.
- Proven work experience as a Warehouse Manager.
- Highly effective supervisory skills and techniques.
- Knowledge of warehouse software packages and MS Office proficiency.
- Ability to input, retrieve and analyze data.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to direct and coordinate operations.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
