SAMANU has significant interests across the Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) sector in Ethiopia.  It was established in 2014 to invest in local business under the consolidated platform.

SAMANU represents group of companies which are engaged in the business of manufacturing consumer-focused products in Ethiopia. Today these companies manufacture well-known brands for the Ethiopian market including Tena Oil, 555 and Aura Soap, Chef Luca Pasta and AquaSafe Mineral water from their facilities.

BACKGROUND

Artifacts will develop, in Ethiopia, an oilseeds clusters program to source from contracted out-growers (cluster of farmers, commercial farmers) and oilseeds grains integrators (traders/coops/…) large quantities various oilseeds (sesame, soybeans, sunflower, rapeseeds, groundnuts) to supply its Solvent Extraction Plants (SEP to be operational end of March 2024)

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1.  Oversee the receiving, storage, and shipping of all goods.

2.  Manage warehouse personnel, daily labors etc. including hiring, training, and scheduling.

3. Develop and implement warehouse procedures and policies.

4. Ensure that the warehouse is operated in a safe and efficient manner as per company standard.

6.  Maintain inventory levels and track product movement in all time using the company ERP system.

7.  Coordinate with transportation companies & logistics department to arrange for the delivery and pickup of goods.

8. Investigate and resolve any warehouse problems or issues.

9. Prepare and maintain warehouse records (Bin cards, warehouse documents file boxes etc.)

10. Manages his advance payment to timely cover warehouse expenditures 

EXPECTED RESULTS

Warehouse manager will be evaluated based on the following criteria:

1.  All staff in the warehouses respect the company’s Standard Operation Procedures and Safety procedures

2.  All warehouses flow procedures are dully respected using the proper warehouse documents.

3.  All goods are stored in perfect conditions, in the allocated space as per the company standards.

4.  Relevance, accuracy and suitability of reports as per predefined schedule.

5.  No major complains from suppliers regarding transparency, methodology or service quality.

RELEVANT QUALIFICATIONS

  • Academic qualification: BSC/Msc degree Logistics & Supply Chain, Agriculture or a related field.
  • Working experience: Employee will have 5 years of experience of which at least 3 in the sector relevant to the JD.
