Background

The main vision of AIG, in the years to come, is to become a prime corporate group in Ethiopia that fully participates in the economic development of the nation, while creating respected Ethiopian brands through our subsidiary companies by 2027. Achieving such compelling vision demands, among others, to establish and implement dependable and sustainable corporate management system. To this end the AIG has decided to proceed with the implementation of an ISO 9001:2015 compliant Quality Management System. Hence, AIG is now seeking to employ competent private consulting firm and/or individual consultant for the establishment, implementation and certification of Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with the detailed quality standards, needs and/or requirements of ISO 9001:2015.
Needs and Objectives of the Present Assignment
In order to become more efficient and improve its products & service delivery, the AIG has decided to proceed with the implementation of an ISO 9001:2015 compliant Quality Management System. Hence, the AIG, intends to appoint a competent Consultant to provide the necessary Consultancy Services in order to assist the AIG obtain the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System certification. Such services comprise establishing, documenting, implementing, maintaining and continually improving the quality management system, and providing advice as well as information to the same as necessary.
The assignment under this ToR document aims to:
- Develop skills and capabilities of AIG’s Management and staff to prepare them for achieving the ISO 9001: 2015 certification as follows:-
- Conduct ISO 9001:2015 awareness and orientation course/s to enhance the understanding and appreciation of AIG staff on the principles and requirements of ISO 9001:2015;
- Facilitate workshop/s on documentation requirements;
- Conduct Internal Audit Training/ Workshops involving;
- Gap Analysis
- Root Cause Analysis
- Internal Quality Audit
- Carry out other related training sessions;
- Obtain an ISO 9001:2015 certification;
- Establish mechanisms to maintain and sustain the system/QMS.

Qualifications of the Consultant
The minimum qualifications and experience of the consultant required for this assignment are as follows:
- Qualifications (Proof of professional competence): Possesses at least a Professional Evaluation and Certification in ISO 9001:2015 QMS; and also Certified in ISO 9001 Lead Implementer”, or certification acceptable to the AIG.
- Experience in Quality Management: At least eight (8) years professional experience working with government/ private/ non-government agencies on quality management systems.
- Experience in implementation of a Quality Management System: Completed satisfactorily at least three (3) QMS implementations in an organization.
- Experience in training: Successful Completion of consultancy projects (training and technical support for organizations) for implementation and certification of ISO 9001:2015 QMS standards – evidence of positive recommendations;
- Experience in System Auditing: Possesses ample experience in ISO 9001:2015 third party auditing/ certification related assignments.
