We are pleased to announce the following vacancy for Technical Officer – Telecom Implementation within the Technology Function in Ethiopia. In keeping with our current business needs, we are looking for a person who meets the criteria indicated below.
Detailed Description
Reporting to TI Team Leader, the role holder will be responsible for timely completion of milestones under his/her scope
Job Responsibilities
- Validate site design documents
- Validate site commissioning documents along with site performance and KPI’s
- Supervision of vendors and subcontractors in installation, commissioning and integration of BSS/Microwave/Transmission, and Power Equipment into the Network.
- Ensure good quality on all installed and commissioned telecom equipment that meet design requirements.
- Achieve 100% in planned activities and oversee smooth hand over and acceptance of sites from deployment to maintenance teams.
- Ensure strict adherence to approved SOP by vendors
- Undertake network upgrades and reconfigurations as per assigned work order.
- Responsible for timely completion of assigned project milestones.
- Identify areas of network weakness and suggest measures for improvement or corrective action.
- Perform spot checks on sites to ensure EHS compliance by the vendors and subcontractors.
- Perform any other assigned activity within Telecom deployment domain
Qualification
- University degree in Telecommunication Engineering/Electrical & Electronics Engineering
- Min 3 years of GSM experience
- Experience in Nokia/Huawei telecom equipment is an added advantage.
- Have good knowledge in fault diagnosis and resolution
