International Clinical Laboratories (ICL) is one of the largest independent clinical diagnostic centers on the African continent. ICL opened its door for service in 2004 with the aim of “contributing to the maintenance and enhancement of the quality of life throughout Ethiopia” by encompassing a system of human and physical resources designed to meet the changing healthcare needs of the population it serves.
It is the only laboratory accredited by the USA-based Joint Commission International (JCI) five times in a row. The laboratory provides more than 3000 tests in collaboration with its referral laboratories.
ICL would like to fill the following vacant positions under the Customer Service Section by inviting all qualified and competent applicants:
Basic Function of position:
Identify, qualify, and secure business opportunities; coordinate business generation activities; develop customized targeted sales strategies, retain customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish, promote, and maintain strong relationships with both new and existing client bases, including doctors at both private and public hospitals and clinics, and Corporates
- Identify customer needs and requirements to promote our services
- Provide accurate and timely information to customers regarding inquiries such as products, pricing, quotes, and issues/concerns
- Identify opportunities and potential clients/prospects while developing and implementing sales strategies to achieve new business sales targets and results
- Cold call; make multiple outbound calls to potential clients and close sales
- Negotiate and manage sales contracts
- Support lead-generation campaigns
- Manage and enrich prospect & clients database
- Maintain a pipeline of all sales administration
- Monitor competitor activity and competitors’ products ensuring competitive pricing
- Distribute marketing material to current & potential clients
Collaborations
- Assist in determining pricing schedules for quotes and costing schedules
- Assist in developing sales-related documents
- Work alongside the marketing team to assist in campaigns, social media, and general marketing documents
- Assist, when necessary, with customer reconciliation reports and forecasting when requested
- Assist in preparing, organizing, and delivering successful MyLab check events
- Travel to territories outside of scope to assist when required
KPIs
- Increase monthly patient sample volumes
- Increase market share in-country
- Increase the active clients’ database
- Ensure required monthly, quarterly, and annual targets are met
- Complete and submit weekly & monthly reports
- Serve as the first point of contact for customer’s complaints, coordinate with customer support and client relations to complete the customer complaint feedback loop
Qualifications & Experiences
- At least diploma & above in Marketing Management
- Having Diploma and above in Medical profession, at least two (2) years’ experience in health care and Medical industries is advantageous.
- Sales experience or qualification is an advantage
- Experience in IT information technology would be an advantage
Skills Required:
- Strong and proven relationships in the healthcare
- Knowledge of the sales process or background is an advantage

Ad-Hoc
- Be available to work after hours and on weekends if required
- Set up dashboards and reports, to track sales and identify areas for improvement
- Assist with ad-hoc requests from management
