Sila Security & Safety is looking for professionally confident, self-motivated, experienced and committed team player to fill the Security Manager Position in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
The Security Manager is responsible to lead the development and implementation of security and safety strategy, framework and plan, and responsible to overseeing daily security management of all Sila security & safety’s clients, ensuring a permanent monitoring and assessment of the overall security situation of sites, as well as reviewing and implementing security management guidelines and protocols.
He/she will also advise the Security team on all issues of safety and security and provide appropriate security training and mentoring. S/he ensures the safety, security and integrity of Sila security and safety’s clients assets, premises and properties in particular by constantly monitoring and anticipating security risk, by designing and enforcing context specific risk mitigation rules and procedures, by ensuring Security compliance for all clients assets and properties, by preparing and updating contingency plans and by providing all Sila security and safety security staff with appropriate security training.
Responsibilities
Your primary responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Overseeing and monitoring day to day operations of the security & safety issues of all Sila security & safety’s clients’ assets and properties.
- Keep security teams updated with any security issues and concerns.
- Work with the site leaders to address any security concerns/risks.
- Ensure the security teams are aware of procedure.
- Work closely with site leaders to ensure they are well supported.
- Ensure internal incident tracking system is utilized properly: create safety & security incident database for Sila security & safety Clients and operations and perform incident mapping and analysis.
- Fill in and regularly update the Safety/Security Risk Analysis Matrix (threat, likelihood, impact, level of vulnerability, level of risk of Sites).
- Carry out security & safety assessments of new Sites.
- Support the Security and Operation Director on the process of updating the Safety and Security Plan and implementation.
- Design safety and security training modules.

Grade: Two Position
Location: Addis Ababa, Ethiopia
Qualifications/Skills Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree and 5-10 years of experience, Master’s degree and 6 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and Proven experience as a security manager or similar role in the Private Security and Cleaning service providing industry.
- experience in safety and security field with Private security companies.
- Good knowledge of the context and situation.
- Extensive experience in security management and procedures of Private security companies.
- Demonstrated communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to train, mobilizes, and manages staff Flexibility and ability to multi-task under pressure.
- Ability to work well in frequently changing environments.
- Proven ability to work creatively and independently both in the field and in the office.
- Proficiency in written and spoken English. .
- High degree of responsibility and ownership of work.
- Ability to prepare and write official reports.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel and Word) and power points
