SUMMARY OF THE ROLE

Execute and support operational purchasing tasks as delegated in line with Group Purchasing (GP) policies, principles, guidelines and procedures for Raw Material (RM), Purchased Finished Goods (PFG) and Direct Packaging Material (PK) in close cooperation with local stakeholders and GP, enabling the company to achieve the desired delivery service to the customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify, evaluate assess and onboard local suppliers.

  • Align with cross-functional team for the purchase of the relevant items

  • Negotiate for better price and delivery terms

  • Compare technical requirements systematically

  • Implement and maintain purchasing procedures in the ERP software

  • Maintain the safety stock of the relevant items

  • Supplier invoice control in line with company guidelines.

  • Agree contract terms with the suppliers

  • Follow up and report on agreed KPI’s

  • Follow the authority matrix for approval process.

  • Issue purchase orders to suppliers in line with company guidelines.

  • Storing the records for audit purpose

Qualification:  

  • Business Management, Logistics & Supply Chain Management, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering

What We Look For

    • 1-3 years of work experience in the relevant field

    • Work nature: at least 5-10 days per month travel within Addis Ababa or Adama.

    • Education: Business Management, Logistics & Supply Chain Management, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
