The Ethiopian Red Cross Society (ERCS) wants to recruit employees in the following vacant positions the details of which are mentioned bellow.
About the Ethiopian Red Cross Society
The Ethiopian Red Cross Society (ERCS) was established in 1935 and is one of the oldest and largest humanitarian organizations in Ethiopia. ERCS provides services to communities affected by natural and manmade disasters through the provision of emergency responses, ambulance and first aid, family reunification, essential drugs, water and sanitation, and other humanitarian services. ERCS also runs disaster risk reduction programs with the aim of creating resilience households and communities. Currently the ERCS has a structure consisting of 12 Regional Offices, 34 Zonal Branches and 131 District/Woreda Branches, 599 Woreda Red Cross Committee and 5871 Kebele Red Cross committees.
ERCS also runs disaster risk reduction programs relating to food security, climate change adaptation, livelihood diversification, and institutional capacity building interventions, with the aim of creating resilience households and communities. ERCS works in partnership with the Ethiopian Government, International Federation of the Red Cross and Red Crescent (IFRC), International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), partnering National Societies, members, volunteers and the communities we serve.
Details of the vacant position
Key performance Areas
- Participates and assists in formulating performance procedures & routines related to service delivery to PNSs;
- Expedites and handles pending communication business matters of the PNS in organizations having different business affiliations with the Society;
- Receives guests of the PNS and performs booking & schedule flights
- Answers inquiries of the PNS’s guests relating to hotel, tourist and other local services and amenities;
- Handle & deals with or process work permit and duty free status based on prior authorization.
- Processes hotel accommodations, providing touring guidance, arranging meetings, scheduling flights, etc.) for them & their guests on arrival, departure and during their stay;
- Processes matters relating to passport, travel insurance, visa, foreign currency and other special travel requirements of the Society’s personnel travelling abroad;
- Arranges flight schedule and transport service to the Airport and from Airport to home to PNSs Office staffs & their guests.
- Participates and assists in organizing and staging special social functions or events ;
- Submits regular performance reports & timely bring to the attention of the Service Delivery Manager those issues which are beyond his scope.

Reporting to: Service Delivery Manager
Terms of employment: Contract for one year with possibility of extension
Qualification Requirements:
- First degree in Journalism/ Journalism & Communication/ English Literature/ Amharic Literature/ Political Science and International Relations, Management and Marketing
- 3 years related work experience respectively.
