Engineering Plc, had been established with a legal structure of Private Limited Company (PLC) being (Grade One Building Contractor) BC-1  with its head office currently located in a road From Bole Michael to Saris Abo Along the Ring Road passing the Hakim Mamo Exit about 100m, at the Second Floor of St. Michael Building. Besides, L.E.C.’s new office building of size B+G+10 is under construction in Lebu area and expected to transfer into its own office building on July 2024. L.E.C. management structure had been categorized into different sections with a sole determination of Meeting NeedsExceeding ExpectationsTrust worthiness and Creativity, with scenery of firm’s mission to provide quality workmanship and customer service and maintain the highest level of professionalism, honesty, and fairness in our relationships with our customers, employees, and vendors.

Engineering Plc, previously know as Luhana Engineering Construction Plc, had been established on May 2008  and acquire a significant growth to the current level and sister companies known as LECON Business Group (includes Real Estate Development, Construction Equipment & Materials Importation, Tour and Travel Agency and Agricultural Chemicals Importation). Duties and Responsibilities:

We are looking for an experienced Construction Project Manager to take charge of the completion of a project. This individual will be responsible for supervising the remaining construction tasks, guaranteeing that the project stays on schedule, within budget, and meets quality requirements. The ideal candidate will work closely with different parties such as clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and a church stakeholder to ensure the project is successfully finished. This role is crucial and calls for strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving aptitude.

Key Responsibilities:

1.   Effectively plan, organize, and execute the remaining construction activities to successfully conclude the project with in a short period of time set by the Project Owner.

2.   Manage and coordinate subcontractors, vendors, suppliers and Client to ensure timely delivery of activities, materials and services.

3.   Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and proactively implement strategies to mitigate delays or cost overruns.

4.   Maintain regular communication with the project team to address any issues and ensure project requirements are met.

5.   Oversee quality control measures to ensure that the completed project meets all relevant standards and specifications.

Provide regular updates and reports on project status, including financial tracking and forecasting.

Key Qualifications

–        The candidate should possess a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field, along with at least 12 years of broad experience in the construction sector. Specifically, the ideal candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of proven experience in a Construction Management position, specifically in managing large-scale projects involving a multitude of activities. This depth of experience ensures that the individual has a comprehensive understanding of the complexities and challenges inherent in overseeing such significant construction endeavors. Proven experience as a Construction Project Manager, with a successful track record of overseeing the completion of construction projects.

–        Strong understanding of construction processes, methods, and materials.

–        Excellent project management and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.

–        Proficient in project management software and tools.

–        Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and project team members.

–        Knowledge of relevant regulations, different construction codes, and safety standards.

–        Strong problem-solving abilities and the capability to make sound decisions under pressure.

–        PMP or other relevant certifications would be a plus.

–        The Project Manager candidate must exhibit exemplary personal conduct, refraining from any form of addiction or immoral behavior, including but not limited to chewing chat, smoking, and drinking.

–        The potential candidate should uphold a deep respect for the beliefs, laws, rules, and regulations of the Ethiopian Orthodox Church, recognizing the significance of these aspects in the context of the church construction project.

–        Furthermore, the potential candidate is expected to embody a high standard of moral character in accordance with Ethiopian cultural norms, aligning with the specific requirements set forth by the Church.
