World Vision began its ministry in Ethiopia in the early 1970s and opened a national office in Addis Ababa in 1975. World Vision operated emergency response programmes during the 1984 famine, followed by a period of rehabilitation (1986-87) and a self-review that came up with the concept of Area Development Programmes (ADPs) as a model.
World Vision’s work in Ethiopia contributes to the well-being of vulnerable children in partnership with the church, civil society and the government. Initiatives include education, food security, health, HIV and AIDS, water, sanitation, and hygiene, as well as sponsorship management. All programmes are implemented with the goal of addressing the strategic and basic needs of children while supporting and building the capacity of families and communities.

Job Description:
- Target youth: support the assessment, identification and implementation of community connector projects. Cooperate with, local government offices, private sectors and other stakeholders in 1he project site to identify job and training opportunities.
- Engage in the preparation of the project operational plan and contribute to the timely submission of standardized mission reports to project donors and other relevant bodies.
- Ensure that at all time the project target achievement is in line with the planned log frame milestones and the budget bum rate arc up to date with the planned cash now and Prepares ToR and monthly cash need for activity implementation. And Closely monitors and ensure proper utilization of project budget as per the approved cash flow
- Maintain and strengthen existing partnerships and develop new ones to ensure delivery of objectives; ensure application of WVE’s people first principles and values in the partnerships
- Ensure timely submission of timely project reports as per World I Produce quality report as per the donor interest Vision Korea and Donor requirements. And conduct timely
- documentation of project progress through case studies, stories, photos, videos, context monitoring among others.
- Develop project implementation tools including implementation I Produce or adopt project implementation tools manual, Detailed Implementation Plans (DIPs), MEAL Plans, Procurement Plans, Communication plan, weekly/monthly work plans as may be necessary.
Required Professional Experience
- 2-3 years Relevant work experience, at least I year must be in similar position; livelihood project officer and experience in working on peace building or security sector reform in a conflict affected environment
Education, Training and Certification:
Ability to work with locaI organizations and actors with knowledge about and experience from the relevant East and west Wollega and Kamashi Zone context, to utilize and ensure their capacity and continuous capacity development and to otherwise adapt ways of working according. registration.
Preferred Knowledge and Qualifications
- BA/BSc. in Sociology, Economics, Development Studies, Agricultural Sciences, or other related field of studies
Travel and Work Environment:
- The position requires to travel physically
Language Requirements:
- Amharic, English preferably Afan Oromo.
