SAMANU represents group of companies which are engaged in the business of manufacturing consumer-focused products in Ethiopia. Today these companies manufacture well-known brands for the Ethiopian market including Tena Oil, 555 and Aura Soap, Chef Luca Pasta and AquaSafe Mineral water from their facilities.
Job Summary
The Human Resources Officer will facilitate new hires for the company and make sure onboarding is scheduled on time. She/he will be handling training program schedule, prepare training evaluation report and assist on the performance evaluation process. She/he will be responsible for preparing monthly payroll.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Create a staff database and keep track of all relevant staff information.
- Ensure job offer letters, contract agreements are timely prepared with Job description and signed by the employee.
- Ensure that each employee has completed all pension formalities and has obtained a pension ID card.
- Keep and update staff leave records.
- Monitor contract expiry dates and renews contracts before it expires
- Assist the hiring managers to prepare Job descriptions, advertise vacant positions, shortlist and schedule interviews.
- Follow up status of recruitment for open and vacant positions.
- Coordinate and conduct interviews with hiring managers
- Ensure all newly hired staff are scheduled for onboarding/orientation programs
- Assist on Developing and maintaining training programs of all internal and external training
- Ensure all training is monitored and recorded.
- Assist on the performance evaluation process.
- Ensure all received monthly payroll updates are compiled and organized on time.
- Ensure all reports are accurate and completed and distributed within designated deadlines.
- Use initiative to control, manage and continually improve the quality and efficiency of work in payroll.
- Prepare termination and severance payments.
- Ensure the benefits taxation, payroll processes are in compliance with government laws, payroll policies and procedures.
- Provide weekly and monthly reports are required.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, in Management or Business Administration.
- Proven skills in administration and Human resources management
Experience:
- 1-2 years of relevant experience in human resource management
