Job Summary: 

The HR and Administration Manager is responsible for developing and implementing HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy, managing the factory HR team and ensuring compliance with all employment laws and regulations and  overseeing administrative functions such as office management and facilities management

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary HR point of contact for our plant team, providing guidance and support on all HR-related matters.
  • Work closely with department heads and managers to identify and address any HR issues, including performance management, employee relations, and talent development.
  • Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy
  • Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances or other issues
  • Manage the recruitment and selection process of factory employees
  • Support current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation and preservation of factory human capital
  • Develop and monitor overall HR strategies, systems, tactics and procedures across the organization
  • Nurture a positive working environment
  • facilitate and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance
  • Assess training needs to apply and monitor training programs
  • Report to management and provide decision support through HR metrics
  • Oversee administrative functions such as office management & facilities management
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure that comprehensive HR support provided to the plant team

COMPETENCIES: – 

  • Strong personnel management experience.
  • Ability to work under pressure and Meet competing deadlines. 
  • Knowledge of HR systems and databases
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills 
  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with colleagues.
  • Experiences in conflict resolutions, disciplinary processes and workplace investigations.
  • Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Fluent in Afan oromo Amharic and English. 

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

  • BA degree in Management, Business Administration or Human Resource Management 
  • Proven skills in administration and human resources management.

Experience: 

  • Minimum  5 years of Experience in human resources field
