Job Mission
  •  The person is responsible for Ensuring the accounting ledger is correct for all account types Make sure finished goods inventory movement recorded correctly in the Peachtree.
 Main Duties and Responsibilities
  • Make sure proper internal control is maintained in all finance-related processes (milk collection, milk allocation, sales etc)
  •  Make sure finished goods inventory movement in the store is managed and controlled well
  •  Control the receivable from credit customers’ aging balance and monitor customer follow-up
  • Propose improvement points for processes going wrong
  • Lead the implementation of new changes in the processes
  • Follow the checklist for the monthly report is followed properly
  • Lead the controlling section staff and do restructure as needed
  •  Engage in year-end IFRS-based report
  • Weekly cash sales deposit follows-up report update
  • Careful review of performance evaluation for staff under this position
  • Make sure proper required supporting documents are fulfilled for payments
  • Make sure the transaction of the finance department is according to the proclamation, directives, and company policies
  • Keep track of Ethiopian tax regulatory changes, assess potential tax impacts on the companies
  • Work with external and ERCA auditors as neede
  •   Design and implement structured ways of working and reporting processes in the Finance department
  • Other tasks as assigned by top management

Department: Finance.

 Education
  • Minimum of BA degree in accounting and finance from a recognized university.
 Experience
  •  Have a minimum of 5 years in a related position preferred if it’s from a multinational company.

  •  Good knowledge of vendor sourcing practice.
  • Understanding of supply chain procedures and negotiation skills.
  • Technical skills: strong financial knowledge and skills, strong administration skills,
  • strong computer skills and good planning skills.
  • Social skills: proven leadership skills, able to motivate and drive the accounting and tax department, high level of integrity and accountability, able to adapt and show leadership under challenging circumstances, serious and hard-working, eager to learn, good feedback mentality, very strong communications skills, very structured, team player.
  • Familiar with IFRS and ERCA tax law.

Language

  • Professional speaker in English and Amharic requires for the job.
  • Other Ethiopian languages are advantageous to perform the job.
