Job Summery

The technical, linkage and referral coordinator ensures successful and timely implementation of the FFHPCT project on both sub cities. Provide technical support for CEF and SSW and ensure the referral linkage of the newly identified positive cases and others for services.

Technical, referral and linkage coordinator job description:

  • Provide regular and consistent technical support to the CEFs and SSWs in order for them to effectively and efficiently carry out/facilities community level activities for both CHCT and OVC services components.
  • Plan, organize, implement and monitor town level CHCT and OVC activities as per the standards in the project agreement signed.
  • Provide day to day technical and mentoring support to CEFs and SSWs to deliver quality and comprehensive services to the target beneficiaries of the project in all implementation woredas.
  • Liaise with local government administration, Community Care Coalitions or Community Committees, CRPs, CWs, Health/Women Development Army, HEWs health facilities and other community-level actor’s for coordination efforts.
  • In collaboration with CEFs and SSWs, ensure the CRPs and CWs are managing duties and responsibilities given to them.
  • Ensure that all project targets are recruited/selected based on the agreed selection criteria and with the consent and approval of the responsible body.
  • Provide guidance and technical assistance to ensure provision of quality service for the individual cases are based on case plans developed for them by the CEFs and SSWs during the assessment.
  • Ensure that the requirements on service standard guidelines are met.
  • Involve/participate in-network or coordination or taskforce meetings in the implementation sites, present project progress and discuss challenges encountered (as relevant to the platform) for solution, as required.
  • In collaboration with the project team, organize and facilitate training and workshops and submit related reports in a time manner.

Required Qualifications

Education:

  • Minimum of BA or Masters in Public Health, Social Work, Sociology, Psychology or related fields. 

Experience:

  • At least 5 years for BA and 2 years of Masters with relevant experience in the areas of health, HIV/AIDS Project management and technical support provision.
  • Progressive experience in technical oversight in HIV Care and Treatment related Projects and experience in coaching and mentorship of staff and community level actors.
  • Extensive understanding of HIV context and proven ability to think strategically and to utilize new knowledge to strengthen program quality.
  • Ability to coordinate and support community engagement facilitators and volunteers 
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and support others in their work.
  • Basic computer skills
