The Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) was established in 1991 by the South Korean Ministry of Foreign Affairs as a government organization for Official Development Assistance (ODA) to improve the effectiveness of the Republic of Korea’s grant assistance programs for developing countries by implementing government grant assistance and technical cooperation programs. Present in 44 countries, KOICA provides rich and authentic experiences of Korea’s economic development. The Major areas of intervention of KOICA in Ethiopia are:
- Governance and Democracy
- International Development and cooperation, etc.
- Job creation (for youth and women)
- Capacity building of public institutions
- Volunteer Program
As part of the implementation of the Bilateral cooperation program, Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) is seeking to recruit a highly motivated and competent Professional for the following position :
- The program officer will be engaged in the overall activities of administration including human resource management and Logistic and the below stated activities including but not limited to;
- Maintains HR activities (i.e. Recruitment, Monthly monitoring, Insurance and annual Health Checkups, Workshop, Benefit and Compensation, Performance management, Training and Development, etc.)
- Maintains administration systems, including records, mail, filing and archiving of records.
- Arranges and facilitates appointments and meetings.
- Undertake ID process for international staffs
- Support the communication and visibility activities of KOICA Office in Ethiopia, including the preparation of communication materials and their dissemination on the various communication channels (website, social networks, etc.)
- Ensure the provision of effective and efficient logistical support services to all units and departments of the organization
- Ensure efficient and effective procurement of all units and departments of the organization (consumable materials, workshop, training, etc.) Contribute to the preparation of relative reports and activities progress.
- Undertake any other responsibilities assigned by the direct supervisor (i.e. administrative work related to the projects; new project and program process tasks, etc.)
- Present availability for business travel when applicable.
Duration of Contract for the position : Regular Basis (Contract extension by year depending on performance)

Work Place : Addis Ababa, Sarbet office.
Required Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree, preferably in the field of Supply Management, Business Administration or related fields
- A minimum of Two (2) years of work experience in related positions , preferably in an international organization
- Experience in logistic work (imports and exports) preferred (knowledge and experience of handling Single Window platform for permit, tax exempted imports through MOFA)
- Good computer skills, including Microsoft Suite.
- Excellent management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work as a part of a team and effectively manage multiple and varied tasks
- Ability to identify priorities and complete tasks in a timely manner
- Ability to work independently, proactively and cooperatively
- Demonstrate integrity by modeling the values and ethical standards of KOICA.
Preferred Qualifications
- Languages: English is the working languages of KOICA. Full professional fluency in English (written and oral) is required, and knowledge of Korean is an advantage. Candidate’s language skills will be verified during the writing test and the job interview.
