Overview of Job Description:
The Communication Specialist handles public relations, information output, and media requests. Plan social media campaigns or advertising efforts for a business. In general, make sure World Trade Center Addis Ababa is well-represented in the public whenever appropriate.
Employs a variety of communications, public relations strategies that may include direct mail, advertising, web, email, social media, news media, special events, and other methods schedules and disseminates print and electronic communications and placement of advertising; plans, budgets, collaborates with agencies and other vendor partners on campaigns.
Responsibilities:
● Create effective communication strategies for World Trade Center Addis Ababa.
● Coordinate the design of promotional material and distribute in online and offline channels.
● Advertise World Trade Center Addis Ababa’s services on various media.
● Promote World Trade Center Addis Ababa’s services during events.
● Plan and schedule press conferences, interviews, and promotional events.
● Produce marketing copy & content for World Trade Center Addis Ababa’s website.
● Craft and send regular newsletters with World Trade Center Association’s updates.
● Build long-term relationships with influencers and key stakeholders.
● Plan and implement effective communication strategies.
● Monitor company website and social media pages and address clients’ queries.
● Network with industry experts and potential clients to drive brand awareness.
Qualifications
● Bachelor’s degree in marketing/ international trade, international business, or related field.
● Experience in communications, media and marketing campaign management for local, regional, and international projects is highly desirable.
● Relevant experience in digital/social media marketing, social media content development, media outreach, public relations, and event planning is a plus.
● Must be well-versed in the trade, investment, and business communities of Ethiopia..
● Experience writing reports and producing visual presentations.
● Excellent oral and written English communication skills.
● Willingness to learn quickly adapts to new circumstances or juggles multiple daily tasks and deadlines.
