Reach Ethiopia

REACH Ethiopia is based in Hawassa the capital of the Southern Nations, Nationalities and Peoples' Region (SNNPR) in Ethiopia aiming to contribute to improved access to health care through implementation of innovative implementation projects.
Brief Organizational Introduction and Project Overview: 

REACH Ethiopia is a nonprofit organization registered as an Ethiopian Residents Charity, dedicated to community development through innovative projects. Since 2013, it has implemented community-based TB care and integrated health service projects in Sidama, Central Ethiopia, South Ethiopia, Tigray, parts of Oromia and Afar Regions. Currently, in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and Regional Health Bureaus, REACH Ethiopia is implementing various projects. 
Summary of the Service:  Providing IT and computer support for REACH Ethiopia. This will include installing software/updates; maintaining printing and wifi equipment; maintaining project laptops and 13 desktop computers; and repairing any of the items above, as applicable.
Performance Activities:
  • Provide troubleshooting, updating, maintenance, repair, and support services for IT infrastructure, including all project IT systems, tools, and technical processes. (see list above)
  • Provide advice and manage the purchasing of any IT/Web/Telecom-related equipment.  This will include working with suppliers to ensure that the technical needs of the project are met and ensuring that all costs are the best value.
  • Conduct office network installation tasks, troubleshooting network issues, or expanding existing networks. 
  • Ensure that data/filing backups are assessed regularly and that all data/files are stored properly.
  • Provide training and support to staff, as required.
  • Conduct IT onboarding for new staff and IT transfer/close-out for exiting staff. 
  • Review and evaluate new IT products and services that can benefit REACH Ethiopia.
  • Participate in special IT tasks or projects, as requested.
  • Meet with the HR and Admin Manager fortnightly to report on IT issues.  
  • Coordinates IT purchases (hardware, software, and services) to ensure effective deployment of solutions aligned with user needs.
Schedule of IT Service Support: 
  • The service provider shall come to the REACH Ethiopia office every working day and serve for two hours and the service provider shall be available on an “on-call”  IT service.
  • If applicable,  REACH Ethiopia will send the service provider an e-mail outlining the list of items to be addressed;

Contract Term: Full time Position, Consultant/ Contract

Qualifications:

Firm Profile 

  • This shall contain the Owners, CV, profile, experience, and vendors testimonies. 
  • The service provider may assign an employee and he/she shall have the following qualifications: 
  • Advanced degree in Information technology or related field.
  • At least 7 years of experience in the field 
  • Good communication Skill
