CHADET is Charity that provides services for vulnerable children and currently operating in Addis Ababa City Administration, Oromia and Amhara National Regional States. CHADET would like to hire competent person who would be managing multiple projects implemented in different parts of the country. CHADET exists to inspire effective partnerships that ensure provision of quality services for vulnerable children. Every year CHADET supports nearly 20,000 such children
Organization for Child Development and Transformation (CHADET) is a non-profit national development organization registered in Ethiopia that works for the protection and welfare of children found under difficult circumstances. CHADET implements projects in Addis Ababa, Oromiya and Amhara National Regional States. CHADET would like to hire a competent professional for coordinating the execution of its projects that in both regional states.
Key responsibilities:
- Hub Manager will particularly be responsible to:
- Train small landholders on post-harvest handling (storages and processing) and provide post-harvest technical support for small holding vegetable production.
- Develop a communication and marketing strategy for the incubator product and services (provide training for smallholder farmers groups constructing improved storage and processing facilities)
- Provide technical assistance on available market linkage opportunities to small holder farming groups particularly women & girls.
- Provide technical assistance & start up kits for value chain businesses to selected smallholder farmer women groups & entrepreneurs.
- Train small landholder women on planning and management of business incubation hub to the hub incubation board.
- Guide and assist project coordinators on matters that need the attention of the head office,
Duty Station: Chitu (Wanchi Woreda, South-West Shoa Zone, Oromiya)
Terms of Employment: Contractual
Qualifications and experience:
- A minimum of five years of experience in managing agricultural hubs and involved in implementing rural based projects. Moreover, the candidate should have experience in grass root development program and have strong interest to work with the poor and disadvantaged rural children and families. NGO experience is an asset
Additional skills
- Excellent report writing skill,
- Good computer skill (word, excel & power point)
- Strong ability to communicate in written and spoken English and Afan Oromo
- Ability and willingness to respect CHADET’s values and safeguarding policy in every aspect of work
