The National Election Board of Ethiopia (NEBE), re-established by proclamation No. 1133/2011, is the constitutionally mandated body to conduct elections, organize referendum and regulate political parties in Ethiopia. NEBE is working to boost its’ institutional strength with a special focus on enhancement of human resource capacity. Accordingly, NEBE would like to invite applicants for Graphic Design & Social Media Expert position who meet the following requirements. 

Job Summary

Graphic Design & Social Media Expert is responsible for safeguarding brand consistency and social media engagement across various mediums and collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain the brand Guideline and social media strategies of NEBE.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Develop and execute social media strategies to increase the organization’s online presence and engagement.
  • Conceptualize and create visually compelling designs for print and digital materials, adhering to brand guidelines and design principles.
  • Post Social media products on the NEBE’s social media platform
  • Develop creative concepts and visual styles for various projects, ensuring a consistent and cohesive visual identity.
  • Design & Monitor contents for various social media platforms
  • Create compelling multimedia content, including videos, graphics, and articles, tailored for both media and social media platforms.
  • Edit and proofread content to maintain high-quality standards and brand consistency.
  • Plan and execute digital campaigns to promote organizational initiatives, events, and key messages.
  • Monitor and analyse campaign performance, adjusting strategies to maximize impact and engagement.
  • Create multimedia elements such as animations, videos, and interactive graphics to enhance user engagement and convey complex information effectively.
  • Ensure brand consistency across all designs, maintaining a unified visual identity and messaging across print and digital materials.
  • Engage with stakeholders through social media, responding to comments, messages, and inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Organize online events, webinars, and social media chats to enhance stakeholder interaction.
  • Analyse social media metrics and user engagement data to assess the effectiveness of social media initiatives.
  • Coordinate with design and content teams to create visually appealing and impactful multimedia assets.
  • Consult with internal clients and stakeholders to understand design requirements, objectives, and target audience.
  • Conduct quality checks on designs, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and adherence to brand guidelines.
  • Any other duty assigned by the NEBE communications manager.

Required number: One

Reports to: Head, Communication Department

Education and Work Experience: 
  • MA degree or BA Degree in Journalism, Communication, Computer Science, Information Technology or any other related fields
  • 5 years for master’s or 7 years for BA 
Knowledge:
  • Proficiency in graphic design software and tools
  • Knowledge of typography, colour theory, and layout
  • Knowledge on Upholding Organization’s Brand
  • Knowledge of Social Media Ethics 
  • Not a member of a political party.
