HST Consulting is looking for experienced, energetic, and committed professionals for the following positions for one of its high-profile clients: JDAW Engineering Plc.  

HST is a knowledge company operating in Ethiopia which provides a broad range of professional services to clients across various industries. It supports its clients in solving their business growth, operational, human capital, financial, tax, governance, risk, and compliance related challenges through locally relevant solutions. One of the specific services that HST offers to its clients is the recruitment of the professional staff they need to fill their critical high-level leadership positions.

HST has been engaged by JDAW Engineering Plc to undertake the recruitment service for the following positions:

The position holder is expected to provide support in strategic leadership, overseeing, and managing the Company’s Day to day business operations.

 Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the development and implementation of the business strategy of the company.
  • Lead and support the designing, consulting, shoring, batching, soil investigation and aggregate production businesses of the company.
  • Develop and maintain key metrics and success measures, monitor, and evaluate overall Company business results, identify, and mitigate strategic business risks.
  • Lead the process to define business KPI’s and develop appropriate systems and tools in the performance management system to track these KPI’s.
  • Lead and follow up the day-to-day activities of the company’s businesses in terms of manpower, financial, machineries and equipment requirements and make timely decisions.
  • Draft companywide policies and procedures for approval.
  • Maintain strategic relationships with clients, suppliers, partners, regulatory bodies and represent the Company in external relations when necessary.
  • Ensure company business transactions, contracts, policies, and procedures are compliant with relevant laws and regulations of the country.
  • Ensure company projects are meeting pre-defined objectives and performance indicators.
  • Ensure client satisfaction through quality and timely delivery of company products and services.
  • Collaborate with senior management to stimulate thinking on business opportunities and organizational capabilities to formulate strategies, concepts, and solutions to company businesses.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of company business trends and contribute to the identification and implementation, if approved, of best practices.
  • Establish effective linkages between business unit planning processes and companywide planning activities to ensure consistency.
  • Evaluate the periodic performance of subordinates directly reporting to him/her.
  • Manage disciplinary concerns of subordinates directly reporting to him/her.
  • Cultivate conducive work environment and culture that celebrates success, promotes teamwork, client service and innovation by developing and implementing a formal culture management program.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Head Count: 1 for each position     

Required Education, Experience and Competencies:

  • Master’s degree in business administration, Management, or related fields with eight (8) years of demonstrated experience out of which four (4) years in a managerial position.                             

Or

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Management, or related fields with Fourteen (10) years of demonstrated experience of which five (5) years in a managerial position.
