Doctors with Africa CUAMM is an international NGOs, based in Italy, established in 1950 with the aim of supporting developing countries in their effort to build sustainable and accessible health systems.

CUAMM has started its mission in Ethiopia since 1980 and Currently is operating in Addis Ababa, Wolisso, Gambella, Jigjiga, Jinka and Debre-berhan.

 

  • To design structures’ rehabilitations, renovation and new constructions and to elaborate the relative Bill of Quantities and relative Costs’ estimations.
  • To join the bid committee for the selection of contractor(s) and Supplier(s) based on the predefined procurement guidelines and procedures of CUAMM.
  • To issue orders to the Contractors in consultation with the CUAMM Technical/Construction and infrastructures sector manager, the in line manager, the operational manager and the administrator of St. Luke Hospital and College.
  • To supervise all construction works and to ensure that the contractual clauses, with respect to both quality and quantity of work, are respected and the works are realized in accordance with the provisions of the Construction Contracts. To guarantee the utilization of the approved material during the construction/maintenance phase.
  • To guarantee all the engineering decisions required for the successful and timely implementation of the Construction Contracts in consultation with CUAMM, Technical/Construction and infrastructures sector manager and in line manager.
  • To maintain works books updated and to report on regular basis to CUAMM on the constructions implementations updates.
  • To prepare an Inception Report, to be submitted within 7 days of commencement of a work as well as brief monthly progress reports with photographs, which should be limited to 5 pages and be submitted within 7 days of the end of each month.
  • To submit detailed quarterly reports, to be submitted within 14 days of the end of each quarter. Quarterly reports should include description of project activities illustrated by progress/completion photographs, status of any delays and contractual claims and details of all latest financial projections.
  • To schedule the periodical maintenance of:                                                                                                                       * *               * The electric system (Generators and Solar panels included)

                          * Building of Hospital/college premises

                          * The water and sewage system

  • To perform any additional assignment proposed by the CUAMM Technical/Construction and infrastructures sector manager and the in line manager.
  • Minimum a Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering
  • Relevant experience of 4-5 years in building construction supervision.
  • Relevant experience of 4-5 years in designing rehabilitations and elaborating BoQ.
  • Previous experience with NGO agencies is an asset.

From 18,870 to 24,050 basic depending on experience and Educational qualification
