Job purpose:

To handle day-to-day accounting and provide financial information to management by analyzing data and prepare reports. 

 Key Responsibilities: 

·        Prepare asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information; 

·        Handle monthly, quarterly and annual closings and reconcile accounts payable and receivable; 

·        Compute taxes and prepare tax returns;

·       Ensure timely bank, landlord and insurance payments; 

·        Prepare balance sheets and profit/loss statements and publish financial statements in time;

·       Document financial transactions by entering account information in ERP; 

·        Recommend financial actions by analyzing accounting options;

·       Summarize current financial status by collecting information; preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports;

·       Substantiate financial transactions by auditing documents;

·       Maintain accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures; 

·        Guide accounting clerical staff by coordinating activities and answering questions; 

·        Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information; 

·        Reinforce financial data confidentiality and conduct database backups as & when necessary; 

·        Any other responsibility given by the Management time to time. 

KPIs: 

·        Timely & accurate financial reporting.

·       Days to complete month end 

·        Adherence to process and compliance with system control

Competencies:

Functional 

·        Excellent knowledge in accounting standards. 

·        Knowledge in budget & monitoring systems 

·        Excellent knowledge in MS Excel 

·        Hands on experience in SAP / any other ERP packages will be added advantage

Qualification & Experience:

·       Graduation in Accounting. Minimum three-year experience in a reputed organization, preferably in retail.
