The Senior Category Manager oversees the day to day Category sourcing activities for the operation department and the organization’s strategic plan.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
· Leading the strategic business processes of Category Management based on key market insight and company strategy.
· Develops Plans and manages budget for Sourcing functions.
· Develops and executes commercial strategies on the go and as per the company’s strategic plan.
· Supervises Sourcing, pricing, and Supplier Management activities.
· Ensures definition and refinement of Sourcing/Merchandising strategy including Priorities, Category ranges, and Pricing
· Follow-up preparation of ongoing competitor analysis and reporting, with particular reference to pricing.
· Monitor brand performance and suggest marketing support needed [in-house/by suppliers]
· Ensure coordination with vendors to provide the required sourcing proposals and analyze vendor performance.
· Develop and maintain professional relationships with all suppliers. Monitor new issues in the sourcing & Category management process and develop ways to improve the operation.
· Ensures close collaboration with other key functions, such as Finance, Sales, store operations, and HR.
· Mange and Evaluate the Performance of the Category team members.
· Performs other duties, and responsibilities as assigned
· Diploma/Degree in logistics and Supply chain Management, Management, Business Administration, or related fields with 6/5 years of written Experience
