Job Summary
Accounts Payable Shared Services Manager is responsible for overseeing the overall A/P accounting in order to guarantee completeness and reliability of this accounting in compliance with law and accounting standards for BGI Ethiopia Plc companies.
Main Duties and Responsibilities

Plan and coordinate his/her assigned tasks on time

Guarantee justification and lettering of all accounts within his scope

Direct the management of the monthly closing within his scope, ensuring that all activities are executed promptly and by accounting policies, procedures, and guidelines. This includes : PO analysis, cut off analysis and posting of accruals

Monitor PO status

Coordinate the vendors invoicing in order to make the invoices available to the treasury before the term of payment

Plan the vendors reconciliation and organize a monthly review with review with the Accounting & Tax Manager and CFO

Develop and maintain a high-level service quality for internal and external stakeholders

Manage, plan and direct the staff to ensure compliance with company policies and standards. Evaluate staff performance based on KPI and objectives

Organize the meetings necessary for the proper functioning of its scope with internal and external customers

Specific Projects and Activities IT : Work closely with the ERP IT team in the adoption of the new ERP system and improve business capabilities and processes relations to Accounting operations.

Reporting (SAP FC) Produce all information for the monthly reporting

Internal control Take part to Finance action plan

Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the line manager

Good knowledge of the company, its businesses and culture

Mastery of Office 365 tools
Education
-
The position requires a minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or Business Management with a concertation in Finance. Chartered accountant preferred.
Experience
-
8-10 years’ hands on professional experience of audit and head of accounting (but at least 5 years in managerial position)
