The National Election Board of Ethiopia (NEBE), re-established by proclamation No. 1133/2011, is the constitutionally mandated body to conduct elections, organize referendum and regulate political parties in Ethiopia. NEBE is working to boost its’ institutional strength with a special focus on enhancement of human resource capacity. Accordingly, NEBE would like to invite applicants for Senior Finance Expert position who meet the following requirements. 

Job Summary

Senior Finance Expert is responsible for Provides financial information to management and regulatory bodies

Duties and responsibilities

  • Maintaining and oversee (control& settlement) receivable and payable records in the system
  • Prepare quarterly Payable & Receivable report
  • Ensuring timely recording of transactions
  • posting and reconciling transactions
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly   and annual financial reports
  • Prepare year end closing financial report to concerned bodies/MOFEC, HPR, Audit general/
  • Checking the Payroll process
  • Keep appropriate tax payment receipts for all applicable taxes (VAT, WHT and others) and report to the revenue authority monthly.
  • Preparing internal and external audit response with finance team lead

Reports to: Finance Department Head

Education and Work Experience: 
  • Masters or BA degree in accounting, economics, Business or related field
  • 8 years and Bachelors | 7 years and Masters | 4 years in a leadership.
Knowledge:
  • Knowledge of financial rules and regulations
  • Knowledge of tax laws
  • Knowledge of Internal implementation/regulation of the organization
  • Knowledge of financial reporting procedures
