Summary:

The Head of Digital Islamic Finance specializes in and manages the design, development, and enhancement of financial solutions that adhere to Shariah principles. They navigate the complexities of Islamic finance, ensuring products are both innovative and compliant with religious guidelines. Responsible for the entire product journey, they pinpoint market opportunities, craft functional designs, and collaborate with technical teams to produce codable specifications. With a deep understanding of the unique needs and constraints of the Islamic finance audience, they continuously refine products based on feedback and performance metrics. They are also instrumental in articulating the product’s value proposition, ensuring clear communication to stakeholders and fostering trust within the Muslim community.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

·         Lead the design and development of Shariah-compliant financial products.

·         Identify market opportunities for inclusive and Islamic finance products.

·         Develop functional designs and translate these into technical specifications.

·         Work collaboratively with technical teams to ensure accurate implementation of product designs.

·         Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Islamic financial regulations and ensure all products adhere to these standards.

·         Gather and incorporate feedback from the Muslim community and other stakeholders to refine product offerings.

·         Communicate the value proposition of inclusive finance products clearly to both internal and external stakeholders.

 

 

Job Requirements:

Education

·         Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Islamic Studies, or a related field; Master’s degree or equivalent professional experience is highly desirable.

Experience

·         5 to 10 years of experience in product management, with a specific focus on Islamic financial products.

 

Competency/Prerequisites:

·         Extensive knowledge of Islamic finance and Shariah-compliant financial practices.

·         Proven experience in product management, preferably within the finance industry.

·         Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholder groups.

·         Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with technical and non-technical teams.
