Heal Africa Health City is a self-contained medical services delivery center that provides one-stop shopping service situated in one geographical location. It has massing of focused super-specialty hospitals that able to provide tertiary level medical care, specialized medical teaching and training, pharmaceutical services, health research and multiple supporting/auxiliary services to satisfy the needs of the service seekers (i.e. patients, clients and families/care givers) as well as for the service providers. The ‘Health City’ caters to large volume of Patients seeking tertiary level care. The medical professionals are equipped with Cutting edge technology to diagnose and offer holistic treatment to the patients. The capital cost of high end technology is amortized over the large volumes of patients and by driving high utilizations rates. It could also constitute a network of satellite clinical facilities delivering a full range of diagnostic and therapeutic services to ambulatory patients.

Responsibilities

·         Collect and catalog library resources including books and publications

·         Help students, teachers, and other community members locate reference reading books

·         Maintain library records on databases (such as Librarian) and ensure it is updated

·         Educate students and staff on how to properly search for information using the library databases

·         Clarify the use of library amenities and provide information about library policies

·         Assist in basic problem-solving routines. Help install new software and hardware

·         Set up the school computer lab, including repairing equipment that is non-functional, performing upgrades to desktops and laptops, installing software networking all devices, recommending purchases of needed hardware or software, and installing virus protection software

·         Install hardware and resources to work areas and classrooms as required

·         Develop and implement IT policy and best practice guides for the organization

·         Develop a maintenance schedule for all printers, computer hardware, software and networks, and ensure that it is followed

·         Monitor school policy on staff and students access to data and files is witnessed in the library

·         Assist with development, testing, and documentation of services for registering and storing data files

·         Keeps records for all books and publications in the Library; loans and collects them according to library rules

·         Arranges for the renewal or replacement of worn-out books in the Library

·         Maintains stock cards and conducts an annual inventory of all books in the Library

·         Signs on check-out slips for resigning or terminated staff after checking that loaned books and materials are returned or costs are recovered

·         Provide management information as required and any other related duties assigned by immediate supervisor

·         And work other related activities

 

Requirement

·         BSc in computer science and other related fields 

·         5 years of relevant experience and the same experience is advantages 

·         Performing original cataloging of all formats of library materials to facilitate their identification

·         Follow library standards and guidelines when classifying documents

 

Skill

·         Basic library systems

·         Excellent IT skills and knowledge of library databases

·         Good judgment based on logical reasoning and class principles

·         Excellent English and Amharic language

·         Knowledge of library management system is advantageous
