About GOAL
GOAL’s mission is to work with the most vulnerable communities to help them respond to and recover from humanitarian crises, and to assist them to build transcendent solutions to mitigate poverty and vulnerability.
GOAL is a non-for profit organization that has been working in Ethiopia for over 30 years, towards ensuring the poorest and most vulnerable in our world and those affected by humanitarian crises have access to the fundamental rights of life, including but not limited to adequate shelter, food and livelihoods, water and sanitation, nutrition, healthcare and education. GOAL implements a range of multi-sectoral development, resilience, recovery and humanitarian responses programmes by being sensitive to cross-cutting issues including gender, accountably, child protection, HIV/AIDS. Currently, we work with pastoralist, agropastoral, pastoral dropouts, rural small holder farmers, rural/urban youth and street children to respond to humanitarian crises and build resilience in Ethiopia working closely with local communities, local government, donors and other key actors. GOAL E Humanitarian Response is centered on nutrition, WASH, livelihoods, multipurpose cash, NFIs and protection interventions in country wide while the recovery and development focus on livelihoods, economic opportunities, health, health and nutrition system strengthening and WASH with solid emphasis on integrated programming and community-based approach in Oromia regional state. The Street Children programme is implemented with local partners in Addis Ababa and Hawassa.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF THE ROLE
The Store Keeper is responsible for the receipt and distribution of property including the over all inventory of Fixed Assets and their recordings for Rural Development and Humanitarian Response Programme. S/he Maintains a daily stock balance for the replacement of items as well as the completion of correctly recorded store documents for auditing purposes.
KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY/DUTIES

· Handles incoming and outgoing stock to/from store and ensures that store requisition and issue vouchers are properly completed;
· Ensures the use of stock card for recording all items and make sure one stock card must be used for only one item;
· Handles goods receipts and properly stores and ensures that all the proper documentation is handled and managed in a professional way;
· Maintains an accurate and timely record keeping in accordance with all finance and logistics formats and procedures;
· Ensures storage areas are kept clean and organized at all times and reports immediately to the Head of Logistics any problems relating to the safe storage of stock;
· Reports and updates the stock balance weekly, monthly, and quarterly and submit to the Logistics Supervisor;
· Ensures timely and safe delivery of items/goods from the store to the departments;
· Carries out daily, weekly and monthly stock reconciliations;
· Keeps proper filing of all the stock and related documents;
· Ensures that material issue Note, Goods Receiving Notes and other related documents are properly managed and make sure that this document matches the actual quantity against physical count(Issued or received);
· Ensures that all GRNs are received from end delivery points on time;
· Reports any obsolete, damage, loss or missing items;
· Conducts inventory control/check periodically through physical count as per GOAL’s policy;
· Conducts quarterly inventory of Fixed asset with the delegated person from department;
· Ensures that GOAL Ethiopia’s logistics, procurement and financial procedures and policies are adhered to at all times;
Undertake any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
REQUIREMENTS

Qualification ( Education, Experience , key qualities, skill and competence)
· Diploma in Purchasing, Supplies Management or related field with a minimum of 2 years related experience preferably in NGO.
· Familiar with donor guidelines; USAID/OFDA, ECHO, EHAF, etc.
· Self-starter and able to work under minimal supervision.
· Knowledge of proper bookkeeping and inventory management.
· Familiarity with standard concepts and best practices in a stockroom or warehouse environment.
Good computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel.
Desirable quality, skill and competence
· Good command of English language
· Able to speak local language
· Skills to operate common office equipment.
· ability to interact with senior level staffs and other staffs.
