Purpose of the Job:

To ensure sustainable growth and profitability of the Bank by developing and implementing strategic direction for efficient mobilization and utilization of funds, the position is also responsible for enhancing the Bank’s revenue and market share by working with the Bank’s Executive Management to develop and implement the Bank’s operations strategy.

Main Duties:

  • Lead the implementation of the Bank’s strategy, and establish and communicate operational goals
  • and performance targets to achieve operational excellence, customer service and market growth objectives of the Bank;
  • Collaborate with other bank leaders and the Bank’s strategic partners in developing, implementing, and marketing strategy driven banking products and in reviewing and modifying the Bank’s product and marketing strategy;
  • Ensure the Bank’s overall fund is in the right portfolio mix and then drive efficiency in fund management
  • Monitor key customer service performance metrics for the operations function of the Bank, and drive excellence in customer service;
  • Create a risk and compliance management culture across the operations function to ensure consistent compliance with all statutory and operational requirements;
  • Cultivate a working environment that promotes teamwork, collaboration, and transparency among work units

General Responsibilities

Qualifications and experience:

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance or related fields.
  • Knowledge of Law would be desirable/an advantage.
  • A minimum of eight (8) years of experience in banking of which a minimum of four (4) years in a managerial position.
  • Experience in leading and managing management-level team of experts and talent.
  • Experience in Interest free Banking position.

Competences:

  • Must be confident, self-starter, an independent thinker and have strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills; team oriented
  • Good computer skills (especially Microsoft Excel, Work, and Outlook)
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse group of people
  • Excellent communication skills, written and oral are required.
  • Demonstrated cultural sensitivity and appropriate flexibility.
  • Emotional maturity and physical stamina.
  • Demonstrated experience scheduling and managing staff from multiple Departments.
  • Excellent organizational skills with ability to successfully manage multiple tasks.
  • Conscientious with an excellent sense of judgment.
  • Ability to work simultaneously on multiple tasks
  • Willingness and ability to work effectively with a wide variety of people.
