Insights Consults seeks skilled candidates for a research field coordinator position based in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, with a role to travel to different parts of the country to oversee data collection activities.
The research field coordinator will lead the data collection activities of various projects in different parts of the country and will report directly to the program manager.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing contextual assistance in the development of technical and financial proposals for various TORs.
- Leading the field teams including
- providing timely feedback on the tools implemented for data collection.
- Supporting research design;
- Providing insights into the analysis of qualitative and quantitative data;
- Providing quality assurance and oversight for field activities;
- Identifying, recruiting, and managing field teams to conduct quantitative and qualitative data collection;
- The role will require travel within Ethiopia depending on the project need.
- Minimum 5 years of Post Qualification Experience with 3 years working as a coordinator and researcher in different positions.
- Experience developing research methodologies in diverse sectors.
- Experience coordinating teams (including performance reviews, career development, etc.)

- Fluent in speaking and writing English, Amharic and other local languages is a plus

Educational background:
- Master’s and/or bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Demography,Economics, Finance, Sociology, Agricultural Economics, Management, and other related fields.
