Humedica e.V is German based International NGO registered in Ethiopia in February 2010. Currently, it is looking for a qualified Project Manager for its Addis Ababa Family Sponsorship and Community Development (FSP) Project.
Job Summary:
Project Manager provides essential support to the project, working with the Project Officer and other team members to achieve project success. He/she is responsible for the overall project management-implementation planning, timely execution, input and output monitoring and supervision/follow up of the subordinates to accomplish the project activities as planned and policy and code of conduct of the organization.
Reports to: FSP Projects Coordinator
Basic Functions
- Initiate, lead and undertake the preparations of project’s monthly, quarterly and annual plans and prepare reports
- Show ways, strategize and draft best fit ways to empowerment target families(assess their need, recommend for appropriate support, facilitate capacity building events for the target community and facilitate or provide training as appropriate)
- Ensure quality of the project deliverables by conducting continuous monitoring and follow ups to the project officer’s day to day activities
- Ensure manage implementation planning, timely execution, input and output monitoring and supervision/follow up of project activities as planned and policy and code of conduct of the organization
- Ensure that safety and security of the target beneficiaries are kept as per the data protection management and code of conduct of humedica
- Ensures that all purchases are effected as per the purchase guidelines and procedures of humedica e.V Ethiopia
- Report ad hoc reports to the country office
- Perform other duties when assigned by immediate supervisor
Place of Work: Addis Ababa, Lideta Project site office.
Term of Employment: Contract for one year with possibility of extension based on performance
Qualification:
- BA/MA degree in Sociology, Economics, Business Management, Management or any other related social science field of study
Required Experience:
- A minimum of three years’ experience (Experience in development and humanitarian organization or INGO/NGO is desirable), experience on livelihood and economic empowerment, education, health, and community development related
Language skills:
- Very good English speaking and writing skill
Other Skills:
- very good report writing, need identification/assessment and project proposal preparation, communication skill, empathy and patience
Interpersonal Skills requirements:
- Ability to work harmoniously with the team.
