We are looking for a talented POS Implementation Engineer with superb technical experience and customer-facing skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the L3 testing, certification and implementation of our payment solutions for point-of-sale (POS) product vendors and acquiring banks.
The POS Implementation Engineer will be required to provide guidance to multiple internal teams, customers and vendors and be responsible for meeting operational goals, driving issue resolution, and exceeding customer expectations. The position is available in our offices in Ethiopia, Kenya and Zambia.
Key Responsibilities:
– Interface with POS vendors and card schemes to serve as a single point of contact, acting as an Account Manager to provide customer support to acquirers.
– Create and maintain testing requirements and test procedures for new acquirers.
– Develop certification requirements, test procedures and compliance program for POS acquiring projects.
– Create and maintain the test plans, test tools and test procedures for new, technology-based card/payment acceptance devices.
– Develop EMV Level 3 acceptance testing, device validation for all supported card schemes.
– Work with 3rd party test tool vendors to get functional test tools and/or frameworks developed in accordance with specifications and test plans.
– Maintain ownership and account updates on escalated tickets until the issue is resolved.
– Assist in the design and development of certification automation initiatives.
– Learn and develop new skills in support of the function via self-learning, training, and industry standards participation (Knowledge of EMVCo testing standards).
– Ensure close collaboration with internal stakeholders in a wide variety of settings, such sales meetings, internal development discussions, and other strategic decision-making sessions.
– Deliver compelling presentations to all levels of internal and external management.
Qualifications
– Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Information Technology, or related field
– 3+ years of experience in payments systems and processing solutions with relevant knowledge of point-of-sale transaction technologies.
– Experience with QA, certification, L3 support including practical experience with at least one accredited EMV test tool/host simulator.
– Proven client and vendor management skills, including ability to influence external partners to achieve results in tight timeframes
– Strong written/verbal communication and excellent problem solving skills. Results driven, flexible and self-motivated.
– Excellent presentation skills, including the ability to effectively deliver information to internal and external constituents at all levels
– Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to understand complex technical concepts.
