Introduction

ASDEPO is a humanitarian, Civil Society Organization founded in 2014 that works in all regions of Ethiopia. ASDEPO fulfills its mandate by providing direct assistance to conflict-affected populations, including refugees, internally displaced people and host communities. Under its mandate, the organization focuses on emergency humanitarian response, rehabilitation and post-conflict recovery.

Currently ASDEPO’s implementing health project focused on Emergency health and Nutrition response through MHNT approach in Benishangul Gumuz Region.

For this reason ASDEPO is currently seeking a qualified candidate for position of Logistic officer

Role and Responsibilities

  • Manage the maintenance of accurate filing systems, with documented and supported records of actions for audit purposes.
  • Prepare logistics reports and share to HO Logistics on time.
  • Provide necessary input that is relevant to maintain PR and PO tracking tools up to date.
  • Manage the logistics assistant to carry out the assigned tasks
  • Manage vehicles assignment and provide monthly vehicles report as per the organization policy
  • Ensures timely delivery of requests
  • Ensure compliance with the ASDEPO procurement policy
  • Prepares procurement Request for Quotation (RFQ) and get quotations
  • Prepares vendors registration form and maintains the database
  • Ensures vendor code of conducts and master terms and conditions are always signed and filed properly whenever applicable
  • Prepares and maintains list of vendors data base
  • Prepares and maintains price list database
  • Responsible for all purchases
  • Ensures goods purchased match the quality and quantity mentioned in the PR
  • Performs similar tasks assigned by supervisor

Job Requirement Requirements:

  • Diploma in purchasing and supplies management or related field (3 years’ experience) or above
  • BA Degree in SCM or related field (2 years’ experience) or above
  • AT least 2 years of INGO or NNGO experience (for Diploma holder) and 1 year (for BA holder)
  • Proficiency of Microsoft Office including MS Word and Excel, as well as email communications and other computer programs.
  • Professionalism, Honesty, Integrity.
  • Knowledge of methods, techniques and procedures involved in procurement and reporting
  • Considerable knowledge of the basics in procurement and reporting
  • Ability to accomplish tasks within a reasonable period of time
  • Ability to communicate both orally and in writing in English.

  • Knowledge on IDP and refugee context is preferred.
