Hilina Foods is a private limited company established in 1998. As its initial establishment, the center produced roasted and milled full fat soy flour, as well as iodized salt for UN agencies, non-governmental organizations (NGO’s) and the general public. In the year 2006 the center later acquired a franchise permit from Nutriset S.A.S France for the production and distribution of Plumpy range of products. Starting from February 2007 the Center has been producing Plumpy nut, which is “Ready to use Therapeutic Food” (RUTF) and Plumpy sup (RUSF) with a production capacity of 40MT/Month. And Dimbuch started to be produced since February 2016 with a production of 79.2 MT. Currently, the center has a capacity of producing RUF products from 400 up to 500MT/Month.

Hilina Enriched Foods is one of the main players in the field of nutritional food, manufacturing a selection of nutritional solutions ranging from the prevention to the treatment of malnutrition for vulnerable populations. Duties and responsibilities

1.    Plan, organizes, directs and controls the activities of the HRM and General services of the company;

2.    Directs and controls recruitment, selection placement, transfer, salary and benefits administration, work discipline, training, performance measurement and management, termination of services, and grievance handling, ensures conformance with the provisions of the labor law, in the administration of employees;

3.    Ensures salary scale and staff benefits administration adheres to HR policies and procedures manual of the company;

4.    Conducts training need assessment and identifies areas of training or skill gaps in consultation with the concerned officials of the company; plans and ensures proper execution of succession plan;

5.    Coordinates and participates in negotiation of settlement of disputes; maintains good sound employee relations; handles personnel grievances in accordance with the personnel policy and labor law; represents the company before court of law or other administrative offices;

6.    Supervises and ensures the proper provision of general services including janitorial, custodial, communication, photocopying, printing, duplication, power supply and maintenance services;

7.    Ensures efficient provision communication services such as telephone, fax, internet, and also water and electricity water and sewerage services and follows up settlement of bills;

8.    Directs the proper upkeep of premises, gardening, and waste disposal;

9.    Directs and controls the dispatch and maintenance of company vehicles;

10. Follows up insurance matters of employees and property, including renewal of policies and timely lodging of clams when accidents occur

11. Supervises and ensures the systematic personnel record maintenance, company business record keeping and safe custody;

12. Prepares annual work plan and budget, periodic performance reports and submits to supervisor; evaluates the performance of his/her subordinates periodically

13. Provides advice to other work units on HR and administrative matters

14.   Corresponds and communicates with appropriate government bodies organizations, associations individuals etc. regarding administrative matters;

15.   Performs other related tasks as required

 

Qualification                                     MA/BA Degree in Management or Related Field
